La legge finanziaria, pubblicata nella Gazzetta Ufficiale n.299 del 27 dicembre 2006, prevede le seguenti novità:


1. Detrazioni per carichi di famiglia

Modificando il sistema, precedentemente in vigore, delle deduzioni per carichi di famiglia, la nuova legge prevede la detrazione delle somme spettanti per le persone a carico. In particolare, è previsto l'importo di 800 euro per ciascun figlio, compresi i figli naturali riconosciuti, i figli adottativi e gli affidati o affiliati. Detto importo è elevato a 900 euro per ciascun figlio di età inferiore a tre anni. Le indicate detrazioni sono aumentate di un importo pari a 220 euro per ogni figlio riconosciuto handicappato ai sensi dell'articolo 3 della legge 5 febbraio 1992, n. 104. Si ricorda che la deducibilità consiste in una riduzione che viene apportata al reddito complessivo indicato nel mod. 740, mentre la detraibilità consiste in una riduzione dell'imposta da pagare.

2. Detrazioni per spese di assistenza personale (badanti)

Se il reddito complessivo del contribuente non supera i 40,000 euro, spetta la detrazione del 19% della spesa sostenuta per gli addetti all'assistenza personale in cases of non-self-sufficiency in carrying out acts of daily life.
